About the Role
Position Overview:
The Nurse is responsible for overseeing the health and medical needs of patients, ensuring proper medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and coordinating medical care. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple patient care responsibilities across different locations.
Key Responsibilities:
-Administer medications and maintain accurate records of patient assessments.
-Call in prescriptions to doctors and pharmacists as needed.
-Schedule and manage medical appointments, ensuring timely follow-ups.
-Monitor and maintain appointment schedules for all patients.
-Conduct routine rounds at all residential homes to ensure compliance with medical protocols.
-Sign off on medication administration and verify proper documentation.
-Perform vital sign checks and monitor patient health conditions.
-Conduct body audits to assess overall health and identify any concerns.
-Order and manage medical equipment such as tracheostomy supplies, hearing aids, and other necessary devices.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Strong knowledge of medication administration and medical assessments.
Experience in patient care, home healthcare, or long-term care settings.
Ability to coordinate with doctors, pharmacists, and medical staff.
Strong organizational skills to manage appointments and documentation.
Proficiency in record-keeping and medical documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education & Licensing Requirements:
Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification required.
Active nursing license in the state of employment.
CPR and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hiring date if applicable.
Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in home health or patient care.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
